Month of the Military Child 💜

As an adult, I’ve often glossed over this month. But now, I figured I’d take this time to go down memory lane to appreciate the community that raised me and how it’s led me to this podcast and writing The Military Spouse Benefit Plan.
To be honest, I have vivid and fond memories of my upbringing. I can visualize them so clearly in my mind, even decades later. But somehow, I’m having a hard time writing about it.
And you know what? I’m going to say that it’s okay to start off the month this way!
So for now, here’s a past episode of two adults reflecting on their upbringing as military children (Episode 041):
And maybe in the coming weeks, I’ll be able to share more in writing (or on the podcast, of course). 🎙
Happy Month of the Military Child! 💜

Fun facts about the Month of the Military Child:
There are more than 1.6 million military children who face many challenges and unique experiences as a result of their parents’ service.
While military members serve around the world, we often forget the challenges faced by their children. Military families move on average every two to three years, impacting military children through changing schools and support networks.
Check out the support and resources available for military children and parents on the U.S. Department of War website.
